Ecuador’s government and private sector have been helping vaccinated citizens save money with their vaccine passport called Pasaporte de Vacunación.
When vaccinated, citizens can access deals on products and services from more than 2000 stores across the country. This is available to everyone over the age of 18.
COVID certificate regulations in Ecuador
Ecuador launched a campaign for all vaccinated citizens to access discounts on services and products around the country. This includes entertainment venues, gastronomy, beauty treatments, and more.
Downloading Ecuador’s vaccine certificate is simple and can be done as soon as the second dose of the vaccine has been received.
Citizens need to simply log onto pasaportevacunacion.ec and select “I want my passport”.
The Pasaporte de Vacunación website will request basic information such as an ID number, name, address, and email address.
You will receive a registration code on your cell phone for authentication. Once you have authenticated your account and set up a password, you can access the thousands of offers available.
Offers can be redeemed with the QR code generated by the Pasaporte de Vacunación app, but patrons are still required to carry their physical Ecuadorian vaccination card.
Can I travel to Ecuador with a COVID certificate?
Ecuador is allowing vaccinated travelers to enter the country with no restrictions for vaccinated travelers. Unvaccinated travelers can enter Ecuador with a negative PCR test.
If a traveler has passed through India or Brazil or does not provide a PCR test, they will need to quarantine for 10 days upon their arrival. This quarantine will be at the traveler’s own expense.
All travelers must also fill in the health declaration form before departing to Ecuador, regardless of their country of origin.
All events and mass gatherings are currently banned in Ecuador.
Beaches are open, but the density of beachgoers is monitored by the Distancia2 app.
Distancia2 is a surveillance system created during the COVID-19 pandemic to measure social distancing through the cameras that are already in use across Latin America.
In Ecuador, bars and restaurants are open with restrictions, and mask-wearing is mandatory inside and outside.
